Looks like San Jose, California might be a little more interesting to visit in 2008. Dimension’s headquarters now might see a little more out of town visits from some of the Streetboarding Pro’s, now that we are getting a REAL skatepark. I know at least a few guys that will be making a drive up from Southern California very soon….

It is good to see that a city that hands out tickets for skating downtown at least has the knowledge to work with the amazing skatepark crew from California Skateparks

The park is located near Lake Cunningham next to Raging Waters. Just a few minutes from where 101 and 280/680 intersect.

when is this park supposed to open?
The park looks bad butt. Just today one of my friends at school said it opened up this passed weekend. I dont know tho. I live like 10 mins away from it. I may drive down there and check it out.
ok, just visited it. all the concrete is done. and from what i think is that all they need to do is put the rails in sauce up the coping in the bowls. and tahts it. but one of the lake cunningham person’s i tALked to said it was going to open march 08.
so when are yall going to skate it? because im in Redwood city and there are no people that have a board are around here!

i use to live in richmond and learned how to skate at berkley park
a year after i started i moved to san jose and travling north got old and rxpensive and other local parks suck
so
skating died for me for the 3 years after ubtill now
ima start up again

its a decent 2 miles away
i could run/bike or skate the distance great for a warm up
nikas that drive are usally the first to bite it

yea im not in San jose, im up at Redwood City! like 30 miles north of that park, there is a redwood city park pretty sick, want to sk8 with other riders. I slake sunnyvale alot too, but i went to the San jose skatepark, took some pics of the new park pretty sick, untill the local rangers said “dont hop the fence” haha but they said march no spicific date, but march is good enough.
Hey the New Sanjose park cost two dollers and u need pads! that sucks..
