New Cartel now on Stock!

We have just received Highland’s re-design of their top selling board: “The Cartel”.

This complete new design includes new footplate shape for maximum stability along with a new 56cm bar for the taller riders. The board is also available in 55cm for the standard stance riders. Since this is a high quality durable board we recommend it to every streetboarder out there, from beginners to advance.

Rolling Dead Results

We just received word from Mr Jay Nowman about the Rolling Dead Contest that tool place this past weekend.

Check it out!

“The final round of Rolling dead went down a treat, with a host of
international riders plus the usual UK suspects and some new faces.

A big thank you to all the sponsors and especially Creation skatepark
for helping us organise it all and putting on one of the best events
we’ve had in the UK for years.

The amateur competition really pushed the level, with Josh Newman
stmping a rodeo on the quarter pipe and Neil Shillabeer flowing
around the course hitting all in his path with technical trickery.
Paul Nash showed once again that he can throw it down with the best,
with noseslides and big 540’s all over the shop. Other special
mentions go out to Mark Brown and Todd for repping Kingston area.
The results were as follows:

1st - Josh Newman
2nd - Neil Shillabeer
3rd - Paul Nash
Once the pro’s took to the course we shut down the whole place,
meaning the spectator areas were packed with wide-eyed kids hustling
each other for a view of the action. The UK riders showed how strong
our scene now is. Jon White came through with some of the most
inventive lines, such as his 50/50 on the coping to blunt stall on
the ledge back to 50/50. Rich Bulger put in a strong showing, and
Alex Wheeler absolutely shut down the spine section of the park,
finishing off with a smooth back 540. Making it through to the
finals were the True Skool fam’s own Sam Cooke, Day One’s Simon Johns
and Highland Streetboard’s Max Anderson. Sam ruined everyone’s hope
of a good nights sleep with his paralysing style, whilst Simon Johns
killed it with a proper job noseslide down the big rail. Max
Anderson rinsed the course even better than he rinses Guitar Hero
and believe me that is a feat. A huge back smith on the rail, a
solid 900, rodeo and back flip off the sub box to finish.

Also making the finals were two spaniards and a german. Highalnd
Streetboard, Fly Master and Only Street rider Gabi Muñoz belched out
some big airs, noseslide down the big ledge and a spotless 450 to
front lip. Dimension and HPT’s Gotthard Pilsner ruined my voce with
a 360 back nosegrind and a misty 7 over a mountain of a “spine”.

The eventual and deserving winner though was Dimension Streetboard’s
Sergi Nicolas. His goosebump inducing run was out of this world.
Switch backside blunt, 180 switch 5.0 180 out, switch backside
transfer and massive airs were enough to set the scores in stone.
However being Sergi he also went and dropped in on the biggest wall
ride I have ever seen, even the climbers from the centre next door
said they would have moving bowels even standing at the top.

The results were as follows:

1st - Sergi Nicolas (£120 Prize)
2nd - Gotthard Pilsner (£90 Prize)
3rd - Max Anderson (£60 Prize)
4th - Gabi Muñoz
5th - Sam Cooke
6th- Simon Johns

The final event of the day was the Air & Style event and it was the
best seen in streetboarding yet. Limits were pushed and bodies were
bruised.
Gabi Muñoz rocked out huge back flips. Max Anderson and Gotthard
Pilsner went head to head trying to land misty 900’s They were both
successful putting to shame anyone on these here forums that claim
Streetboard Air & Style isn’t being pushed. Gotthard also came close
to a backside 900. Sergi Nicolas pushed the realm of the one foot
when he stomped a huge grabbed 360 one foot. The biggest trick of
the event came in the closing jump. Andy Garret came so so so close
to stomping an almost perfect double back! he just humng up on the
landing however cracking on of his fingers. They will come soon my
friend. All I want to know is where was Brinton at this comp?

The Air & Style results were:

1st - Max Anderson (£120 Prize)
2nd - Sergi Nicolas (£90 Prize)
3rd - Gotthard Pilsner (£60 Prize)”

Rollin Dead Round 6

We got some news about the final round of the Rolling Dead Competition.
Thanks to legendary Jay Nowman.

rolling dead

That’s right- its time for the final showdown! The final round of the Rolling Dead Streetboard Uprising is finally upon us. This time, however, the contest is opened up to international riders which will sure prove to be an epic battle. The scene for the final round will be Creation Skatepark in Birmingham, UK on December 1st, 2007. Max Anderson (59 points) looks like a sure thing to take the coveted UK crown, but the fight for second place is anyone’s guess. Will Alex Wheeler (36 points) be blessed with injury of the two ahead? Or can the up and coming Simon Johns (46 points) rob Old Man Jay ”Call Me Prince Jamuga Clifford Bolehaps” Nowman (46 points) of the title of “first of the losers”?
Thrown in the mix will be some of the World top riders. Vert, Bowl and Best Trick World Champion; Sergi Nicolas, Thomas Kienle, Christian Kamm and Istvan so far comfirmed all batting for cash prices.
Will Street World Champion Gotthard Pilsner step forward and take the challenge from the undead to a gruelling duel in the heart of the UK? One thins is for sure that you will see Streetboarding pushed ot its limits.
Also on the day will be stalls selling all from boards to DVD’s to candy floss (well don’t quote me on the latter) Plus Streetboarding will be going head to head with UK’s top Mountain Boarders.

The Riders Pack will be available soon.

If interested in attending as a spectator or as a riders please don’t hesitate to contact Neil at:
