Looks like San Jose, California might be a little more interesting to visit in 2008. Dimension’s headquarters now might see a little more out of town visits from some of the Streetboarding Pro’s, now that we are getting a REAL skatepark. I know at least a few guys that will be making a drive up from Southern California very soon….
“The City of San Jose is currently working on three skateparks. Our citywide plan is to have ten skateparks total, one in each district” Department of Public Works - San Jose
It is good to see that a city that hands out tickets for skating downtown at least has the knowledge to work with the amazing skatepark crew from California Skateparks
This past weekend The Dimension crew cruised down to Bakersfield for the grand opening of Action Sports. We taught people how to skate, gave away free gear and did a little Streetboard demo on a small flat rail. Check it out!
Bakersfield’s skate shop: Action Sports, a long time supporter of Streetboarding and Dimension Streetboards pro rider Kyle Orndorff, is having it’s grand opening at it’s new location on the 27th and 28th of October. Dimension Team riders: Nicolas Frega, Alex Morton and Kyle Orndorff are going to show up for a little demo and some Streetboard lessons. Josh Mick and Victor Murstig will be dropping by as well representing Dimension Streetboards. We will have a booth set up and we will be giving some free stuff to the crowd.
Check out some of the pictures from the new store.
The Dimension crew and friends are spending New Years in San Franciso, and visiting Josh as well. While searching for skate spots in San Jose we found a couple of concrete slides to warm up on.
