Last week the South American scene had a mini ramp contest. Lots of riders showed up from all the corners of the southern continent, which made the contest one of the best so far.

The competition was tight but Pipo Grosso took 1st place, followed by Jorge Olivares in second and Eduardo Gac in third.

There were lots of skate and filming sessions after the contest, we will be updating the site constantly with the best photos from this sessions.
For now enjoy this picture of the man himself, Pipo Grosso.

Chilean Mini Ramp Contest
February 12th, 2007 - Dimension Streetboards, Grosso Boards, Nicolas Frega, Pipo Grosso, Streetboarding.com. 1 CommentFor the second year in a row, Santiago of Chile held an international mini ramp contest, which has become almost a tradition.
With riders from all over the country and a few special guests from Argentina, this contest gathers one of the best street scenes in the world together for a mini ramp jam-contest.

This contest was the second of its kind, and counted with various sponsors, supporting streetboarding in South America.
The level also has improved from previous events, showing an improvement on the ramp skills of these street riders.

The event counted with an extraordinary organization, several sponsors and good prices. Hooters sponsored the event by hooking the riders up.

By the finals the riders where throwing down hammers in order to take the prices home (hooter girls).

Overall this was a really good contest for the Chilean scene, it gave riders the opportunity to get together and organize future events and projects. Events like this show how the South American scene is slowly but firmly getting back on its feet. Stay tuned!
